Jeff Burch nominated as NDP candidate for Niagara Centre

THOROLD – New Democrats in Niagara Centre gathered to nominate Jeff Burch to be their candidate for the next provincial election.

“I’m humbled to be trusted once again as your champion for Niagara Centre,” he said in his acceptance speech. He announced two major local platform planks that he will run on in the next election: “With the rapid growth rate in South Niagara, we should be expanding healthcare services, not reducing them. That is why I am proud to announce I am campaigning on a complete rebuild of the Welland Hospital with a full 24/7 emergency department with surgical services.” Additionally, Burch is running to restore full service to the Port Colborne Urgent Care.

“It’s time our province had a government that will put people first,” said Stiles. “Jeff has been a prominent voice for the Niagara region at Queen’s Park. He shows up for the community time and time again, and is a tireless advocate for local health care, more housing, and a better life for the people of Niagara. I’m thrilled to have Jeff on our team again,” said Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario NDP. “Jeff’s fighting for us – now let’s fight for him.”
